Veronica Sanchez
Office Manager |
Veronica has a passion for dentistry and is available to assist with questions regarding appointments, fees, and financial arrangements, insurance concerns, and any other questions that you have. Veronica enjoys being the first person new patients meet when they come to the practice.
Veronica’s good nature and demeaner is an asset to the practice and she is an invaluable team player whose primary focus is on patient comfort and service.
She is a bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her three daughters. |

Rosita Justin
Front Desk Coordinator |
Rosita is a 2001 graduate from the Concorde Career Institute in Fort Lauderdale. She has a four years experience in General Dentistry, Oral Surgery, and Endodontics. Her duties range from confirming all insurance, presenting the doctors treatment recommendations with any options for the patient, helping with financial options, and helping the dental assistants as well.
Her hobbies and interests include her wonderful children, singing and dancing. She married E.J. more than 6 years ago and says he is so patient and understanding. She has two lovely children who are as active as the sun shines. Her son, Noah, is happy and energetic, and Julian, her daughter, is kind and even though she is young “knows everyone is wrapped around her finger”. |

Betty Herrera
Dental Assistant |
Betty had been a practicing dentist in Santiago de Cuba for several years prior to moving to South Florida. Becuase of her past experience, she is familiar with all aspects of patient care in the dental field including endodontics, surgical methods and general dentistry. Betty is also fluent in Spanish.
Although she decided not to obtain her medical license as a doctor in the U.S., her passion for the field of dentistry has never subsided. Betty actually did go back to school to be retrained as a dental assistant at the Miami technical Institute in 1999 and has been working as a dental assistant with the practice since that time.
Her continued studies include certification in expanded duties training as well as expanded food and nutrition education.
In her spare time, Betty enjoys reading books and tending to her garden. |

Andrea Gutierrez
Dental Assistant |
Andrea attended Berkeley Business College in New Jersey and moved shortly therafter to South Florida where she graduated from Concorde Career Institute in 1998. She brings to this office more than 12 years of dental experience. Her duties include assisting the doctors during various dental procedures, fabrication of custom trays, temporary crown and bridges, following strict sterilization procedures and educating our patients about dentistry.
Her hobbies and interests are dancing, skating and spending time as much time as she can with her family at the beach. Andrea has been happily married to Cesar for 11 years and they have two lovely daughters, Kamila who is 10, and Valentina who is just turned four. |

Luz Arenas
Dental Assistant |
Luz’s career interest was to help people. So she studied Social Work at the University Del Este in Puerto Rico. She then decided to moved to South Florida and pursued dental assisting where she graduated in 1998 from Concorde Career Institute. Since then, she has been following her interests in helping people as a dental assistant. Her experience has been in General Dentistry and Endodontic Specialty. Her duties in the office are to take x-rays, make temporary crowns, take impressions and bleaching or whitening treatments. She assists the doctors but her most important duty is educating the patient about dental health and oral hygiene - and helping the patient feel comfortable and happy when they are at our office.
Her hobbies are reading romantic novels, interior design, and spending time with her family. Her family includes her lovely husband, who she married more than 7 years ago, her Mom and Dad, two sisters, one brother, two nephews and one niece. |

Sergio Palacios
Dental Hygienist |
Sergio graduated from the University of Caraboba in Venezuela with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. He was certified as a Forensic Dentist in the Pathology Department for the police while in Caracas, Venezuela.
He is a licensed Dental Radiographer and Dental Hygienist in the U.S. by the Florida Board of Dentistry. His experience in the periodontal field is a huge boost to our offices.
Sergio’s focus is treating the entire mouth - but his real interest and passion is oral lesion detection and awareness and control and prevention of infections. He loves educating his patients about oral health.
He has continued with his education by completing the following courses:
- ITI Congress (Science and Innovation for Implant Dentistry)
- Imaging Sciences International Course (Operations training on the I-CAT Imaging System)
- Invisalign Course on removeable braces (Align Technology, Inc.)
- Arestin Certification on the placement of antibiotics in areas of infected gums
Some of his job duties are:
- Review of medical and dental history and current oral health
- Extraoral examination: blood pressure, facial structures
- Intraoral examination: oral cancer screening, evaluation of teeth for mobility, cracks, chips, defective restorations. Full evaluation of gum disease if any.
- Take x-rays to help the doctor in diagnostics.
- Perform Vizilite, the oral cancer exam.
- Treatment and maintenance of the periodontal condition of the patients by removing plaque, stains, tartar above and below the gumline.
- Applying a local antibiotic, Arestin, in the gums to help with gum infections.
- Polishing and flossing teeth
- Application of sealants and fluorides as preventive dental treatment
- Give personalized oral hygiene instructions plus specificaids for each patient’s personal use at home.
- Inform and educate the patient about their treatment plan.
- Inform patients about exciting new technology used at the office.
Sergio’s hobbies and interests are painting, listening to music and dance. His family roots run deep with his Mother and Father, and older brother and sister and his twin-brother, all still residing in Venezuela.
