Meet Dr. Karla Platzer. She is one of our distinguished general dentists here at My Dentist For Life. Originally from Peru, Dr. Dr. Platzer moved to Virginia at the age of 3 and her passion and kindness have shone through since. It was as early as grade school where Dr. Platzer realized she wanted to become a dentist, which led to her earning her bachelor’s in biology at the University of Virginia and ultimately receiving her DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery degree) at Howard University in Washington D.C.
Dr. Platzer is the latest addition to the My Dentist For Life associates’ team and has been changing lives, one patient at a time. Her commitment to making sure that patients are well informed and, more than anything else, confident, and comfortable in their health journey has made her a fast favorite for our new and longtime patients.
In her free time, Dr. Platzer enjoys staying active and exploring the outdoors. She loves to visit the beach, hike through scenic trails, or challenge herself with rock climbing. Traveling is also one of her passions, and she takes every opportunity to discover new destinations and immerse herself in different cultures.
