What Is PRF Treatment and How Does It Work?
What Is the Treatment Process for PRF?
After we draw your blood and extract the golden layer, it can be used in many applications in dentistry and facial aesthetics, for hair regeneration, and for wound healing. PRF can treat fine lines and wrinkles, volume loss, hair loss, acne scars, and inflammation in dentistry. It promotes growth, particularly in areas where we're trying to build volume. The results usually appear within weeks to several months. The natural growth factors are released gradually, helping to build collagen. You'll start seeing results within several weeks of your treatment. The number of treatments depends on the service.
In dentistry, for example, during an extraction, we use it at the time of extraction, called a biological extraction. We create a fibrin matrix and place it right where the tooth was removed, promoting bone growth and improving healing. This is a one-time procedure. In facial aesthetics or hair rejuvenation, a minimum of three applications, one month apart for three months, is needed, or up to six months if severe.

Where Can PRF Be Injected?
PRF can be injected wherever needed. For hair loss, it is injected into areas where you're experiencing hair thinning. In facial aesthetics, it's injected into areas with fine lines, wrinkles, or acne scarring, and where there's volume loss. In dentistry, if you have gum disease, it can be injected under the pockets or into specific areas or teeth we are working on.
The number of vials needed varies by procedure. For instance, a single tooth extraction requires a minimum of four vials of blood, while a full mouth facial rejuvenation treatment requires at least six vials.
Is PRF Effective?
PRF is indeed effective. We've seen amazing results, supported by extensive research. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, promotes hair growth, and in dentistry, it encourages healing and bone building. It's very effective.
